Leonard H. Sansanowicz is the principal attorney of Sansanowicz Law Group, P.C., whose practice is devoted to protecting the rights of California employees. He has spent his entire career prosecuting harassment, discrimination, defamation, whistleblower retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour/wage theft claims, both individual and representative actions. His most rewarding and fulfilling work is obtaining justice for his clients.
Mr. Sansanowicz is a member of the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Section of the California Lawyers Association (CLA, formerly State Bar), a member of the Executive Board of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA, plaintiff’s employment bar), and a Section Officer of the Labor and Employment Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA). He was a contributing columnist to the CLA Labor and Employment Law Review for over six years, co-authoring the Wage and Hour Case Notes.
Mr. Sansanowicz has been named a Super Lawyer. This peer-reviewed selection process has chosen the top 5% of all practitioners in a given geographic region (Southern California) in Employment Litigation each year since 2019. Before that, he was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, a peer-review process that selected the top 2.5% of all attorneys in a geographic area under 40 or with fewer than ten years of practice for six straight years until he was termed out. For the final four consecutive years as a Rising Star (2015-2018), he was named to the Super Lawyers Up and Coming 100 List, meaning the top 100 attorneys to watch from all Rising Stars.
Mr. Sansanowicz is fluent in Spanish. He has coached and refereed youth soccer, served as a law school mock trial competition judge, participated in various outreach programs for workers and students, and enjoys spending time with his family, including his dog, Bruno (his screensaver photo on Zoom). He also volunteers as a settlement officer for non-complex employment law cases through the Resolve Law L.A. program, a virtual mandatory settlement conference program offered by the Los Angeles County Superior Court. He is a Los Angeles sports fanatic (Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, LAFC, Kings) and probably spends too much time thinking about sports. Maybe. Probably.
